This evening, in Rovereto, on the occasion of the centenary of the Peace Bell, the Haydn Orchestra conducted by Nicola Valentini performs PAX VIRGINIS<\/em> by VIRGINIA GUASTELLA, a composition for baritone and orchestra, featuring Bruno Taddia as soloist, alongside works by Sibelius and Schubert.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Winner of the first edition of the \u201cInstruments of Peace\u201d competition in 2008, Pax Virginis<\/em> weaves together texts from the Old and New Testaments and from the Qur\u2019an, offering through music a possible, rigorous, and profound dialogue.<\/p>\n

Virginia Guastella, always attentive to the present and to the responsibility of the artistic gesture, places her music at the service of listening and encounter. Pax Virginis<\/em> is an invitation to keep channels of thought open, even when words seem to fall short.<\/p>\n

Published by RAICom and broadcast live on RAI Radio 3 at its premiere, the work has since been performed in various symphonic seasons under the baton of renowned conductors such as Gustav Kuhn, Yves Abel, and Pietro Borgonovo.<\/p>\n
