Everything you ever wanted to know about Berio’s Sequenze
but never dared to ask
Episode #12 – Sunday, November 16 at 4:30 PM
Two instruments, one Sequenza, no chance of a tie.
Michele Fontana’s clarinet and Manuel Teles’ alto saxophone face off in a duel that has it all: character, vanity, small provocations, and that subtle irony that arises when two musicians are — with excellent conviction — certain that their voice is the more persuasive one.
Adding even more spark to the confrontation will be Enrico Gabrielli (composer, multi-instrumentalist, founder of Calibro35, former member of Afterhours) and singer-songwriter Nicolò Carnesi, who will join the two performers in conversation as special judges of this Berio-inspired sonic showdown.
This episode is once again conceived and curated by Vincenzo Parisi, who continues to take each Sequenza outside its “natural habitat” to let it shine in a new light.
The result is an agile, brilliant challenge—one to be listened to from start to finish.
Don’t miss it!
