On the occasion of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, the music of Roberto Cacciapaglia accompanied one of the most symbolic moments of the Opening Ceremony.
For the Grand Finale, OLYMPIA was chosen — a symphonic cycle in four movements recorded in London with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios. A score whose nature and vision naturally aligned with the ritual of lighting the Olympic flame, expanding its emotional and collective dimension.
The presence of OLYMPIA extends beyond the stadium. From 7 to 22 February, Cacciapaglia’s music accompanies the daily lighting of the brazier at the Arco della Pace, creating in the heart of the city a shared space of listening — suspended between light, sound, and time.
