Sunday, July 6, 4:30 PM – Corte dei Miracoli

The journey through Luciano Berio’s Sequenze continues, on the occasion of the centenary of his birth. The ninth event leads us into some of the boldest and most evocative territories of the entire cycle, with Sequenza XII for bassoon and Sequenza VII for oboe.

On stage, Edoardo Casali and Luca Avanzi, extraordinary performers, enter into dialogue with Berio’s thought and with a new voice of the present: Livia Malossi Bottignole, who has been commissioned to write a piece for oboe and bassoon, premiering on this occasion.

Weaving together listening, reflection, and invention is Federico Gardella, a special guest and sensitive guide on this journey through depth and irony, memory and transformation.
