This evening, in Rovereto, on the occasion of the centenary of the Peace Bell, the Haydn Orchestra conducted by Nicola Valentini performs PAX VIRGINIS by VIRGINIA GUASTELLA, a composition for baritone and orchestra, featuring Bruno Taddia as soloist, alongside works by Sibelius and Schubert.

Winner of the first edition of the “Instruments of Peace” competition in 2008, Pax Virginis weaves together texts from the Old and New Testaments and from the Qur’an, offering through music a possible, rigorous, and profound dialogue.

Virginia Guastella, always attentive to the present and to the responsibility of the artistic gesture, places her music at the service of listening and encounter. Pax Virginis is an invitation to keep channels of thought open, even when words seem to fall short.

Published by RAICom and broadcast live on RAI Radio 3 at its premiere, the work has since been performed in various symphonic seasons under the baton of renowned conductors such as Gustav Kuhn, Yves Abel, and Pietro Borgonovo.

Don’t miss it!
